Hay & Straw for Sale
We have approximately 90 acres of alfalfa & orchard grass mix hay that produces up to five cuttings annually. About half of our high-quality hay goes to our own cow herd and horses, and we offer the extra for sale. We can deliver within a 15 to 20-mile distance from Vinton (with delivery fee). You can also arrange to pick up hay.

Square Bales – $6
You can buy this hay off the hayrack in-season or from our off-season storage barns (by appointment only). Most is from the second and third cutting.
Alfalfa mix or grass bales are available.
Round Bales – $110
Our large round-baled hay is ideal for commercial cow herds, dairy herds and horses. The alfalfa is high in protein and energy, and the orchard grass provides excellent nutrition for horses. We test our hay through a certified lab.

Straw – $5
Our crop rotation currently includes 30 to 40 acres of oats annually, which also results in high quality, clean straw. We bale this in small square bales for use on our own farm, and offer the extra for sale.
Our straw is great source of livestock bedding, especially for smaller pens and during calving season. You can buy straw off the hayrack during the summer, or from our off-season storage barns (by appointment only).
